Objectives of the research of this books are analysis of the public procurement procedures and of the present state of transparency in public procurement; analysis of public procurement from 2005-2007; assessment of the impact of corruption in public procurement in the municipality Chisinau; formulate recommendations for increased transparency.
This paper contains six chapter and an appendix. Chapter 1 includes brief conclusions regarding the prevention of corruption in public procurement from other countries, chapter 2 presents a description of the policies regarding public procurement in the Republic of Moldova; chapter 3 includes an analysis of the current trends in public procurement in Moldova; chapter 4 examines the basic investment objectives, chapter 5 identifies problems in the public procurement process and offers potential solutions; Chapter 6 includes quotes from media publications.
Finally, the Appendix contains tables regarding public procurement contracts and data regarding contracts signed due to public auction.
